The Oxford Oratory is the Roman Catholic parish church for the city of Oxford and is a sanctuary in the city for all. Built in 1875 by J A Hansom (he of the Hansom Cab), it is a beautiful and inspiring French Gothic church. It is served by the Fathers of the Oratory.
Opening for Oxford Open Doors on 14th and 15th September, visitors can enjoy an exhibition of artefacts, relics and vestments relating to the connections between Catholics in Oxford and Rome from the 17th C onwards.
