What's on

Vishuddha is a modern, purpose-built, award winning yoga centre in a beautiful Thames-side setting offering free yoga classes or just a wander round and chat.

This purpose-built yoga centre is built on the principles underlying yoga itself. The Centre opened in 2022 and has since received an OPT Green award, RIBA southern area award, and a ‘highly commended’ Civic Trust Award. In their commentary, these architectural awards have emphasised how the design helps bring us back to ourselves and a connection with community as well as promoting contentment and conservation rather than consumption. The building is a welcoming space and uses low carbon energy approaches, to avoid the use of gas heating. These include solar generation and battery storage, heat recovery ventilation (MVHR) and high insulation. There is cycle parking inside the building to discourage car use. The building will be open for a casual look around as well as several free yoga classes – These are popular, so be sure to book on the website!

It is run as a not-for-profit organisation and more information on the ethos and structure can be found on: https://www.vishuddhayoga.org
