What's on

The University Church of St Mary the Virgin is a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive church within the Church of England. Standing in the centre of Oxford, it is the spiritual heart of the oldest university in Britain. With dignified liturgy and beautiful music, it has been a place of Christian worship for over a thousand years. Today we welcome everybody to join in a life of faithful and intelligent Christian witness, filled with hope and love for the world today.

  • Disabled access: Step free access to the main body of the church through the High Street door. Please note that the Radcliffe Square entrance is not step free
  • Children's activities available: Step into the University Church during the Friday or Saturday morning of Open Doors Weekend for a special child-friendly, interactive exploration trail! Can you solve the clues and help Thomas Cranmouse find his hat? Where do you think it is hiding? This is a self-guided activity ideal for children aged 5-12, who must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
