What's on

Makespace Oxford is a not-for-profit organisation that provides space for purpose-driven groups, creatives, and other nonprofits to thrive.

Visit their space at 9 Park End Street for the special event Developing a Manifesto For The Commons.

Within the workshop, we will explore the meaning and practice of spatial justice through the lens of commoning in Oxford. The session will include a zine-making activity that will form a manifesto for the commons.

The session is designed to rehearse the future, thinking about spatial design and regenerative futures, documenting local experiences, knowledge, and narratives related to space, access, and exclusion.

Led by Makespace Oxford & The Spatial Action Lab (OxSAL)

There will also be activities for all ages.

  • Disabled access: There is a lift. Please ask for assistance for access to the space.
  • Children's activities: Model-making and imagining what an ideal neighbourhood would look like.
