What's on

Visit the College and grounds on Saturday and Sunday for Oxford Open Doors!

On Sunday 14 September the Old Library will be open, 11am-3pm. Magdalen has had a library in this room since the 1480s, and the beautiful Gothic interior now holds over 20,000 volumes dating from 1500-1800. On display are some of the treasures of the collection, including an illuminated book of hours, one of the first books printed in Venice, and a seventeenth-century song book.

  • Disabled access: Partial – some of the gardens and parts of the College are not accessible. Bridges with steps in the grounds, no access to the Tower and Old Library
