What's on
Come and see this pretty, modern, Christian Science Church and Reading Room and learn about the architecture and design of Christian Science churches generally. Designs can be very different but will satisfy the simple requirements of the church services, congregation and members.
The church membership acquired its present site in St Giles' in 1933 and our new purpose-designed edifice and Sunday School were built in 1986 replacing the old church building. In 2004 the Reading Room moved to its separate, pavilion-style accommodation built in the grounds. The quiet and pretty courtyard garden was remodelled, with a pool and fountain added, together with a glazed canopy entrance.
We will be available to show the church building, Sunday school, and Reading room.
- Disabled access: We have a disabled toilet in the Reading Room and wide doors in the church to accommodate wheelchairs
- Toilets available
