We object to this application. Given the climate change crisis, sustainable development should be at the heart of all development proposals. This application doesn’t justify the demolition of the existing dwelling, or assess the embodied carbon cost of doing so.
We recommend that a whole life carbon assessment is carried out before any decision is made to inform whether demolition of the existing property is justified.
