Visiting our green spaces - our latest update on COVID-19

OPT is continually thinking about access to our green spaces as well as the health and safety of our members and local communities. We are closely following guidance and best practice to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Current Government guidelines focus on social distancing measures which help to reduce social interaction between people.
After the Government’s announcement on 23 March 2020, only one form of exercise a day is suggested, for example a run, walk, or cycle, alone or with members of your household. If you do go for a walk outdoors, you should stay more than two metres away from others.
Connecting with nature and getting outdoors is great for mental well-being and physical health although we ask that you take sensible precautions, respect other visitors, and follow the government’s guidelines on social distancing. Do not take any unnecessary risks. Further guidance and advice from Oxfordshire County Council can also be found here.
If you have a high temperature, or new continuous cough, please postpone your visit to any of our sites, and stay at home for 14 days.
