Oxford Open Doors 2018.

We are in the throws of organising Oxford Open Doors 2018 and can reveal that our theme is Extraordinary People!

This exciting weekend will take place on the 8th & 9th September this year and will give you the chance to explore behind doors that are usually closed.  Alongside old favourites, there will be new buildings and places to explore as well as some different events to get stuck into -  we'll disclose more details as we get a little closer to the event.

Giving us lots of ideas and opportunities is the fact that there are anniversaries in abundance this year!  It's 100 years since the end of World War l, 100 years since women were granted the right to vote, and 200 years since the great landscape designer Humphrey Repton died.  Here at OPT we celebrate our 90th birthday and all we have done over that time to build a positive future for Oxford and its special green setting.

Would you like to be part of the action? Do you have a building or place to open or an event that you'd like to organise for Oxford Open Doors and in keeping with our theme? If so, we'd love to hear from you.  Please contact Stephen Dawson at s.dawson@oxfordpreservation.org.uk or call 01865 242918.

Oxford Open Doors is an incredible and FREE annual event, only made possible thanks to the members of Oxford Preservation Trust.  Please help to keep Oxford Open Doors going and become a member or make a donation.
