As part of the 2019 Festival of Archaeology, two events were held in Oxford's Castle Quarter. On ,Tuesday 16 July Tom Hassall gave a talk on 50 Years of Archaeology, which described the changing face of archaeology throughout the past 50 years. The second event held on Sunday 21 July, was a guided walk by David Radford, City Council Archaeologist, the walk started in St. Aldates continued through the Westgate and finished at Oxford Castle Mound.
