The Rewley Road Swing Bridge site is looking very different at the moment! Scaffolding has been erected all the way around the structure so that it is completely encapsulated. This is to allow the blasting works to take place in a sealed environment. 

Blasting works are an absolutely necessary part of the restoration project, as it will smooth out any rough surfaces and prepare the Bridge for painting.

Those who live nearby may notice an increase in noise whilst this takes place. OPT are hugely grateful to the residents of Rewley Park for your understanding and the team on site will do all they can to reduce any negative impact that this work may have. 

The blasting works proper will start on Monday 26th April and will take place between 9am and 1pm.
