Take a guided walk with local historian, Mark Davies, and hear about the life and times of Daniel Harris.

Famous for many reasons, Daniel Harris was appointed to the role of Prison Gaoler in 1786. The former Clerk of Works was a keen archaeologist, draughtsman and prison reformer, and transformed Oxford Gaol, enlisting the prisoners to rebuild the derelict prison buildings.
