Wednesday, July 20, 2022 - 17:00 to 18:00
Venue:
Key Learning Centre, Oxford Castle

The Festival of Archaeology is a nationwide event which is a celebration of archaeology between 16 - 31st July. For the festival of archaeology we are putting on a special talk and walk to celebrate Oxford's rich archaeological past.

This is a free talk by Oxford City Council's Archeologist, David Radford. David will talk about some of the exciting recent archaeological discoveries in Oxford over the last year, including evidence for prehistoric activity and Cardinal Wolsey’s lost college at Frewin Hall, a suspiciously large Saxo-Norman ditch at Castle Hill House and a newly discovered Parliamentarian Civil War redoubt at Headingtion Hill.

This event will be a 'hybrid' event so you can either attend over Zoom or see the talk live at the Oxford Castle at the Key Learning Centre.
