What is Oxford Open Doors?

Oxford Open Doors is a weekend which celebrates Oxford’s heritage and culture by giving you the chance to get behind Oxford’s closed doors.  We invite you into the colleges, university buildings and green spaces together with a range of the City’s other varied and hidden heritage across gown and town for you to explore.

Here at OPT we are excited to announce the return of Oxford Open Doors for 2021 so put Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September in your diary now.

This year's theme is "Oxford Re-Opens Doors"

In 2020 we had to do things a little differently, with our “Goes Outside” event aimed at local audiences featuring 80 different events with virtual and 'real' outside spaces open, and achieving over 26,500 virtual views.

This year, whilst we begin to return to in-person events, we want to keep the “best of the new”, by continuing our successful virtual program and opening more outside spaces for you to enjoy.

In 2021 we also hope to expand our range of hugely successful self-guided Hidden Heritage and Partner walks alongside our Green Spaces walks so you can get to know more of the city at your leisure.

We can't do this without you so why not sign up as a volunteer for Oxford Open Doors 2021 here.

At OPT, we realise that the COVID-19 situation is changeable.  We will continue to monitor government guidance, adapt our plans if necessary and keep you updated on any changes to Oxford Open Doors 2021.

Oxford Open Doors would not be possible without your support.  Please JOIN or DONATE today to keep Oxford Open Doors thriving.

OPT would like to thank the following organisations for supporting Oxford Open Doors 2020.
