Oxford Preservation Trust and the University of Oxford organise the annual Oxford Open Doors event every September. It's a weekend when we celebrate the city - its places, spaces and, most of all, its people.
Join us on 8 & 9 September to explore behind doors that are usually closed with our theme of Extraordinary People. Alongside old favourites there will be new places open and events happening and we will reveal more details as we move closer to the event.
There are anniversaries in abundance this year as it is 100 years since the end of World War l, 100 years since women were granted the vote, and gardens will be celebrated as it is 200 years since the great landscape designer Humphrey Repton died. Here at OPT we celebrate our 90th birthday and all we have done over that time to build a positive future for Oxford and its special green setting.
If you would like to open a building, place or organise an event do contact Stephen Dawson at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01865 242918.
We are only able to run this event thanks to the members of Oxford Preservation Trust. Please help to keep Oxford Open Doors going and become a member or make a donation. Click here to join https://www.oxfordpreservation.org.uk/content/membership-0
Members enjoy many benefits including the Oxford Open Doors brochure delivered direct to their door and special member only events in the week prior to the event.
