Open green space is essential for our health and wellbeing, and we are delighted that more people than ever are now out and about enjoying OPT land.  With our commitment to the green agenda, OPT have no car parks, so why not take a cycle ride or a long walk.  Help us to keep our environment, our wildlife and you safe by considering a visit outside likely peak times.  All our green spaces are open.

A beautiful area of landscaped wildlife garden linking with other green spaces across Boars Hill

This landscaped wildlife garden with a large ornamental pond is a memorial to the Bridges family.  It was once part of the garden to Stockwell, the home of Ali Akbar and Elizabeth Daryush (daughter of the poet Robert Bridges).  Ali Akbar Daryush bequeathed the house and garden to OPT in 1989.

The garden has been designated a Local Wildlife Site for its unimproved acid grassland, which is rare in Oxfordshire, and a place where bee orchids can be found in the late spring.  Today there is full public access for all to enjoy.
