Oxford Preservation Trust operates an annual small grant-making programme, to encourage and assist projects within Oxford and the Green Belt which act to enhance, or further interest in and knowledge of, the historic city or its green setting.

Applications should be in writing including

We regret that grants are not available retrospectively, or to private individuals for historic properties. Grants on historic churches are normally directed to the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust to which an annual grant is awarded by the Trust.

Grants are considered quarterly at meetings in March, June, September and December.

Recently grants, of generally between £1,000 - £2,000, have been awarded to

  1. The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) towards the restoration of the Lashford Lane Fen at Sandleigh and to support the snake's head fritillaries project at Iffley Meadows and most recently towards physical improvements to the BBOWT CS Lewis Reserve
  2. The Oxfordshire Woodland Group
  3. St Margaret's Institute, Oxford
