Oxford Preservation Trust's aim is to preserve and enhance the historic city of Oxford and its green setting.
The Trust runs an annual Environmental Awards scheme to recognise projects that make a significant contribution to the conservation and improvement of the built or natural environment of Oxford and its green setting.
Nominations are now invited for the 2009 Awards. Please download the attached Word or .pdf file or contact the Office for a hard copy.
Projects are judged on the contribution they make to Oxford and/or its green setting. Your project should be located in Oxford or its Green Belt (including Abingdon) and be relevant to one of the categories as described below:
Nominations are welcome from owners, architects, public and voluntary organisations. To be eligible, projects must be within the public domain, and must have been completed within three years of entry.

Nominations should be returned by 24 April 2009.
All entries are judged by an Awards Panel who have wide expertise and knowledge of the City and its countryside.
Results are announced at an Annual Presentation, open to Trust Members and invited guests, at which all submissions are displayed. Winning projects
receive a Certificate, with a Plaque for those projects making a special contribution.

St Giles was a strong feature in the 2008 awards with Plaques going to St John’s College for the restoration at 20, 21 and The Barn, and to St Giles Church PCC for the work to the John Townesend Monument in the Churchyard, and a Certificate to the Ioannou Centre for Classical & Byzantine Studies.
