Since its foundation in 1927 Oxford Preservation Trust has acquired land, through gift and purchase, in furtherance of the Trust's aim to preserve and enhance the amenities of the City and its surroundings.
The Trust now owns over 600 acres of land, acquired and managed to protect and enhance Oxford and its setting. All of the land helps to contribute to making Oxford special, whether through the views of the famous 'dreaming spires' seen from the green backdrop of hills which surround the City, or as part of the characteristic green 'fingers'
which run into and through the city's urban areas . The Trust recognises the individual contribution of each of its land holdings and ensures that these special attributes are protected and made the most of for all to enjoy.
